I am beginning to be concerned about the roof.

The last 48hrs has seen over 3/4th of an inch of precip. Some of that fell last night as rain but I am not seeing any water coming off the house roof, which is deeply snow-covered and well-insulated.

The high temperature yesterday was 35F and it is 32F this morning with a dense fog. The snow has begun to slide off my metal garage/carport. I hope it got that tom cat that likes to hang out and pee in the carport ;). If so, there's about 4' of snow on top of him right now and only one-half of the avalanche has come down so far!

Now I need to head out with the snow rake and pull down as much as possible off the deck roof. The trick will be to do that without damaging the roofing :/. There is a 70% chance of more snow today and tonight . . .

The news last night said we got 25.75" of snow in November A record. woke up this morning to 5.5' of snow in front of the backdoor that slid off last night. We have a metal roof so if it gets above freezing it starts to slide off. We must take care of the snow on the ground today, so we can be ready for the next round tonight and tomorrow. Steve take it easy with your shoveling the snow is extra heavy now. I have switched to a regular NO.2 flat point shovel, takes a little longer but with the weight of the snow it works best. how is everyone elses weather.
