Thanks but what is BT?

BT is bacillus thuriengiensis, a bacterial disease that affects insects. Hoodats right about it working on your bagworms. If you garden organically it's a good "natural" insecticide to use.
I think you can find it at feed stores and some hardware stores, it's pretty common.

Will it also work on hornworm? We had a BIG problem with them in our tomaotes and eventulluy the sweet peppers. Nasty things. ugh.

Bt will work on hornworm quite well but if they're a recurring problem you might use on on a ten day or two week cycle so you get them while they're small before they do any bad damage. The big ones can strip a plant in no time.

Hi Tom and welcome to the forums. Is the Tempo SC Ultra something that you would spray (I assume it's a spray) on edible plants? Do you know what's in it? We usually try to stay away from harsh chemicals even on non-edible plants. But sometimes it is a last resort.

Tempo SC Ultra is a synthetic pyrethroid made by Bayer. Here's a look at the label (you need Adobe reader to see this) The first thing they say is that it is only for profesional use.
