Oh dear Lord, I am tired. We worked HARD today! We got tops and branches packed on the mule and hauled to the burn pile. DH and Russell moved tree trunks into position to act as swales to combat erosion. There is still more to do, but we got most of it cleaned up. Our little granddaughters begged to go back in the house and watch cartoons. LOL They were tired too.

This morning I set out two bundles of onions and planted half a packet of beets.

A couple of days ago while we were having 30mph + wind gusts, I looked out the window to see the new young guy across the road on his roof!

I missed him climbing up but watched him climbing down on his too-short stepladder. Careful ... shake that first ... one rung at a time. Then, he moved his ladder to lean against one of the big walnut trees in his front yard carrying it around a large branch down on the lawn.

He then climbed the ladder and straight up into the tree. He didn't stop until he was standing on a branch about 10 feet above the top of his ladder! He had thrown up a rope before beginning his climb. It wasn't around him for safety. He was trying to pull back a broken branch.

Yesterday, I looked out in time to see him climbing down from the tree. The lawn was littered with branches, several, as big around as my leg. By the next time that I looked out, all those branches were gone! The pickup with sideboards at the curb must have been crammed ... the pickup is gone this morning but it's Monday so, maybe he's back to "work."

Bay, was wondering about the little green house you posted last year, whats your take on it does it work OK for you? I got to make some room for the plant s I've already started and i will someday build a permanent greenhouse, but for now Im looking for something that i can move my established plants into once they get there true leaves, so I can start more on the grow rack. I seen one at tractor supply for like $40 bucks, figured it would be worth at least that. It will be in the barn, i have extra lights to go in it, and a space heater.

@Lickbranchfarm it works real good for me. I started tomatoes in the house, in a closet, then moved them to my little greenhouse. I just snipped the tops out of a few of them. The LED lights provide enough warmth for the plants. It was a good purchase. I just moved some eggplants out to it too.

I made solid shelves out of OSB to go over the wire racks. Then I cut boards to go across the back wall from shelf to shelf, to give me more room. I have 2 heat mats and a space heater, but haven’t needed them this year. I bought mine from Wayfair and the lights off Amazon. This is my 3rd year to use it.

I like the OSB idea, those racks are kinda flimsy. I had the same idea as you for the lights, I only have 4, I'll have to get 2 more, Thanks for the info and Pics!

I painted both sides of the OSB. It’s OSB...... water, plants, even with the pots in trays with no drain holes, it’s still OSB. LOL
