Did the raspberry plants make it?
Sadly, no. They started out good and I was all excited, but between the never ending rains for months, then the sun came out in July and scorched everything. Plants burnt from the top down. All of them. Even tomatoes. Everything. And what struggled to survive, rabbits finished off. Grrrr...... I think I hate rabbits. I cheer when the dogs catch one.

Depending on where she is, scraggly cottontails and jack-rabbits.

I have scraggly cottontails. I'd rather have dead scraggly cottontails.

@Nyboy it's not the nurserys fault I killed the raspberries. I'll get some more and name them all after you. :)

Would y'all believe after waiting MONTHS to get internet, my laptop has crapped out? Yup, totally unresponsive. Comes on, lights up, does nothing. Insert angry smilies. Then tell me that blank spot on the post is angry smilies because I can't see them on this stupid phone. Frustration level rising ...

Bay... Do what I did ... In N. Cal. we had Black Tail Jack Rabbits ... I whent hunting on alfalfa and sugar beat farms year round and enjoyed them at my dinner plate. In Central Cal. ... Across the street from our ranch, my neighbor has a very large garden ... Peter and Petra Cottontail have set up housekeeping in a big way by develping a housing suberbia. So 3 times a year , I go out and invite 10-15 ( each time ) Cottontails to be my guests of honor at our dining room table. We toast them with fine wine at dinner and after dinner drinks . Here in SW Washington, there are Cottontail rabbits, but alas, I have seen only ONE in our neighborhood. Mary, The ONE likes to nibble Sea Pink plants on a hill in the early evening in our back yard, but leaves everything else alone.
