I see you are from New Jersey? How much land to you have for your bees (and your family)? I have 30 acres to play with, although, I am getting pretty old to do much playing.

I've toyed with the idea for years, but haven't jumped in yet.
Are you using Langstroth type hives or topbar?

Welcome from Washington state. We have been wanting to get some bees also. I just think you need to be more prepared for bees than we are right now, that is why we haven't taken the plunge
