If your tree is large you might need help and use poles. Youtube has videos on how to net a tree

and if the garden center doesn't have it you can sometimes find mesh in the fabric section that you can quick stitch together.

I use netting from the fabric shop (actually Hobby Lobby) to cover my strawberries. Then when the strawberries are done I use it to cover my blueberries. You can buy it in a dusty green so it doesn't stand out too much. If you don't own a needle and thread, you can staple the netting together.
