Bitter Lettuce

Thanks Ridgerunner. I'll have to check out their selection. I bought my fireplace insert there.

Some of the Chinese lettuces stay mild in warm weather. They are narrow leaved though, almost like grass, so are tedious to harvest. The two lettuces I found are slowest to turn bitter as it warms up are blackseeded Simpson and oak leaf.
