Sorry your knee is hurting. It’s awful with that constant pain. Hope your schedule for surgery is soon.
Tylenol does take the edge off. I wear a knee support back support when out in the garden. I try not to over do and think things out before I start. I’ve been literally down for over a week with back issues.bone deteriorating and getting progressively worse. One day at a time.
You will be glad you had your knee done. I had both hips replaced and so glad I did.

I'm growing Artist Gherkins for the first time, and the vines are really taking off. We had to put in tall posts for them to climb up-- and then a clothesline type string tied to the top of the post so they can continue to grow laterally. This morning I harvested a bunch for fermenting. Of the five different varieties of pickling cukes I have grown, Artist is the most attractive producing fairly straight fruits with dark green skin and lots of little spines. The photo below shows another type of pickling cucumber that got away from me and grew huge; I think it's a Eureka but I'm not sure. It weighed over 3lbs! 🤣

Seven months after sowing the seeds the Lisianthus are finally beginning to bloom. The rose-like blossoms are exquisite, but in my opinion these flowers take up far too much time, energy, and real estate to make growing them worthwhile.

And when you found it did you say, "Eureka!" ..?

Our cucumbers are having an amazingly productive year. The 2nd planting probably won't be needed. They may be stymied somewhat by all the heat. That's likely to be okay since they aren't for pickling. (Probably trying to start & grow them in the greenhouse, roughly @Alasgun , would not have worked ... still, with the sun high in Summer, there is shade near the north wall of that sunshed ... 🤔 . Might have November cukes if they would be okay and just vine off towards the sunshine ...)

The Fall planting of bok choy is readyyyy. Apparently, there was no slowing of Mei Qing.

Steve, hoping you enjoy your pickles

These Masai bush bean seeds were started on July 27th, with a couple of weeks spent in 2" soil blocks. The seedlings were planted out to a nice sunny spot on August 15th. I was unsure of whether the beans would have time to mature, but when I checked on them today there were lots of little green beans forming.
