My best friend came over yesterday and made 9 quarts. I never peeled so many pears in my life! I ruined the second batch of syrup by cooking it too long so I had to start over - finished cleaning the kitchen at 9 last night! I thought I would make individual deserts with filo dough, adding pears, nuts and butter - baking, then drizzling with the syrup and adding a dollop of cream. :love
