Today was a rainy drizzly day. Buford stationed himself on the pond dam where he could watch over the flock. I saw my oldest ewe limping badly. Buford saw it too and went to her. She laid down and he sniffed her carefully. He moved a short distance away and laid down, on guard.

I went out to investigate and Ewenique limped away from me. I guided her back to the lot and into the working chute. I couldn’t find anything wrong so maybe she just twisted her leg or pulled a muscle. She limped into the shelter and laid down.
It started raining hard enough to make the sheep and Buford run for cover. I could see into the shelter from the porch and Buford was next to Ewenique.

@Shades-of-Oregon yes I paid at time of purchase, with a credit card. By the time the bill didn’t show up and I got that reminder text, I forgot all about it. LOL

Anatolians are not treat motivated as a general rule. A hunk of boiled chicken would get his attention but would make a mess in my pocket.

I different breed and beautiful smart and great guard dog for the flock. Working dogs always need something to do. And Buford is gorgeous!

I took Buford and Sheba to the vet for their rabies shots. Neither one was happy in the truck. Sheba stood staring at the window probably hoping I would open it so she could jump out. Buford stress panted, head between the 2 front seats, hovering over the console and drooling all over it. He finally laid down, stress panted all the way.

Sheba weighed 104 pounds, couldn’t get Buford on the scale. He weight is #Ican’tpickyouup. They got their shots, I paid and loaded them back up. Dang near had to slam door with my arm still in it, but managed to barely drag it out before door closed.

Stress panted all the way home. I don’t think I’ll take them both together again. It was almost impossible handling them both.

Yesterday I gave Buford another truck lesson. Oh no, not, absolutely not. So I crawled in the back. It must be safe now and Buford crawled in beside me. I eased out, telling him to wait. To his credit, he did.

Just look at this tortured face! 😃😃😃
