Bush Lima Beans?

Yeah, lots of flies and small bees, not just honeybees. I don't have a problem with other types of beans getting productions. I grow different beans for Russ plus my standard production bush and pole beans in the same general area, sometimes right next to each other. My understanding is that beans are perfect flowers, have both male and female parts. They don't really need pollinators to transfer pollen, just a good wind shaking the plants should do it. I shake the lima as well as other type of beans to assist with pollination.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I grow them the same as other beans.

i wouldn't shake the lima beans. i think the flowers are a bit more delicate. that and check your pH. might be too acidic. those are things that come to mind right now. :)
