I feel the same. I want them to notice how wonderful it is. Really the peas were better than store bought. The pole beans are different than can green beans, but I like them. I have more bush beans this year and DS does not complain as much. At least DS things home grown tomatoes are the best. He can really tell a difference.

I am so blessed. My DH eats anything. And he tells me every night how good it is. He is so appreciative of my gardening efforts. My 90 year old mother is picky, thinks leftovers are direct from Satan, but at least she loves vegetables.

I think your raspberries will be fine even with the fence going up next to them. They're established plants, and seem to be pretty happy in their location. If you move some it will take a few years to get them established and bearing well. You may want to mow a path between the canes and the fence so you can get in there to pick though!

I watched the sun on the neighbors fence a few houses over and at 4 o'clock there was only a foot maybe of shade by the fence, so I think they will be okay.

Like Dew said, we have raspberries right across the road. They only get sun during the morning. They are heavily shaded by the woods from about noon on. They do just fine, as long as the stupid State Road guys don't spray them. :he
