If they're in the house, we've not been getting flea bites on us. I was really surprised. I guess they were too busy trying to kill my old dog.
That's one good thing about the Rx flea meds, if you don't have them too bad, the fleas in the carpet will gravitate to the dog, bite and die. They say it helps to vacuum a lot too, reduce their numbers. We used fipronil for many years and it just up and quit working. I wonder if they changed the formulation or if the fleas developed resistance.
We will go get Trifexis or whatever the vet recommends tomorrow. I had her on it before, but took her off when she started taking Carprofen because she was seldom outdoors and I hated to put too much on her liver and kidneys. I flea bathed her again this evening and that's harder on her than anything.
Boy, they sure run quite the racket on those flea/heartworm meds. I hate paying nearly $20 per pill for them, plus the blood tests.
