Yup - what Curly said. They got about 6" tall before I got them in the ground.

thanks curly_kate, I might have to try that. I grew corn last year, first time in years. I was happy with my harvest and it makes great cornmeal. I really need more room...........baymule-who is casting covetous eyes at the neighbors yard.........
