As best I can figure, what you have is a Pipevine Swallowtail butterfly caterpillar. The adult Pipevine Swallowtail butterfly is a beautiful iridescent blue in color and there are orange spots on the under surface of the wings.

Thank you, I did not see it, it was a friend in Texas that found it in her flower garden.. I think she also figured out what it was.
