Well, ACTUALLY....upon further review....

this plant IS in the same family as Heliotrope....Boraginaceae.......so I guess Greensage was right after all. :D

(I actually got a few pics of that knapweed because a monarch butterfly stopped by to check it out...)

Like knapweed, plant #1 is not native to the USA......
