where do i get on his mailing list! :)

nice! :)

move to wellsville new york........

everything is made in the southern tier or upper new york area...

the ring bologna was made by hart's deli in wellsville they sold the business about 15 years ago, a place called shorts deli and convenience Store bought the recipe and has been making ever since..<hate to say their quality control sucks> dont think they ship...
http://shortsoil.homeserver.com/shorts_stores/

the cheese is 1000 island river rat cheese he sells from his hardware store...he gets 2 shipments a week he can not keep it in stock darn good cheese.
it's made in upper new york..
https://riverratcheese.net/ they do ship..... um @Nyboy look at the map they do sell near your weekend house..

the applewood bacon they tried to sell no interest so we got the last 2 pound packs... dont even see it on their web page?

the salt rising bread comes from giant foods in wellsville....<once again the original bread came from harts deli> not quite the same ,but still darn good. and yes they do ship the bread<only during the winter mouths> worth buying 10+ loafs and freezing them...
http://www.giantfoodmart.com/

the sauerkraut and fruitcake he makes at home.. he has a 50 gallon crock for his kraut<it's a monster> for the fruitcake think he tripe soaks them in rum. one slice and you could blow a 1.9 at a traffic stop....

for the curds the amish family has the best. they squeaked on your teeth as you eat them<a true sign that they are fresh> hope they are open next time we go up.

if you are ever in the area you need to stop by the cuba cheese shoppe..you want it they got it...and yes they ship...

yup looking forward to going back....

thank you for the detailed reply! :)

we have an excellent bologna maker
near here in Flint, MI called Kogels. i
also love their braunschwieger. both of
them i like once in a while, but not
too often. we use the ring bologna to
make pickle and bologna (dill pickles
and onions and bologna all ground up
together - freezes well if you don't
mix the mayo in).

now i'm hungry :)

Boy oh boy, you brought back good memories. My Grandparents from Pittsburgh, had a humongeous crock in their basement with sour kraut. They also served thick cut bologna to us. In fact, I loved it so much, when I was in hs, we went to an automat in Philly and I picked a white bread, butter and thick cut bologna sandwich. It was sooooo good!
