Castor Bean "Carmencita"

I grew this from seed (Johnny's), it's a very easy plant and I love the big tropical leaves!

The ankles of this plant are not that attractive, so I think it looks best mixed with other plants. This one is planted amongst honeydew vines and zinnias.

Those guys are great. Deer proof, and relatively tough.

I love them! There is also a green variety. I planted one by the compost and it grew about 7 feet tall. I use the large leaves to cast cement birdbaths. Thanks for the pics.:happy_flower
All parts of the plant are toxic though!
One more edit!!! I originally planted them to deter moles and gophers. Not sure they worked for that but really like them.
