If you drive South on I 5 at 60 mph for an hour and a half through Vancouver , Wa. cross over the Columbia River and drive through Portland, Ore. ... you just waved howdy to over a million people.Same here...the whole population of the county in which I live is under 10K.
Coywolves are about the height of a German Shepherd or Large Collie. They are rangy and fast. I have seen one run down my driveway, and we hit one with our car. They have a nasty habit of luring dogs out to "play" and then the pack tears them apart. They can be loners but have been successful as pack animals. They are one reason that I do NOT free range my chickens. I don't worry about my horses bc any of the three could bash their heads in with a kick.the cross between wolves/coyotes is interesting to see come about. not sure how much it has spread.
last week we had a rabid coyote kill a dog bite mailmen and police offer before being shot. And it was in Yonkers which borders the Bronx
