As upsetting as it was, at least you got through it. Take heart, it does get easier.

When I have a rooster with an overactive testosterone problem, I just add more hens..........most times, the extra "girlfriends" spreads his "attention" and creates more diversion.

That sounds like good advice for all of us chicken-addicted folks, Boggy! A real good excuse to get more chickens! :lol:

I think Boggy has come up with the most humane way to dispatch a rooster...not a bad way to go...:lol: :gig :lol:

Sorry bj. I know how that can be. I had wanted a rooster for 20+ years. Never was able to get one. Finally did and he was a beauty!! And a gentleman, until he was a bit over a year. Then he turned and was mean, mean, mean to the ladies. So to the freezer he went. I was sad with that one. Since then, I just don't get too attached to them and it's not quite as hard.
