Chicago Hardy fig NOT leafing/budding yet!!

I live in Zone 5b (Milwaukee WI). I've had a potted Chicago Hardy for two years. In winter we bring the fig in and keep it in the attached garage a bit off the concrete floor. This year in late March I trimmed it's branches a bit and brought it out during the day and wheeled the tree back in the garage at night. There was also a sucker at the ground level which I trimmed off. It's now almost the end of May and I don't have any signs of life except that when I trim a branch or two back it is green inside. Maybe I need to repot it or cut it back? I would appreciate any tips or advice on how to help my fig. Its fruits were wonderful last year for a young tree. Thank you fellow gardeners!

I love fresh figs, and have thought about trying one of the "hardy" varieties in a pot - but have yet to grow them here. I came across a site which may be helpful though (I've bookmarked it for my own use):

Cut a fig and wait 2 years. They can grow like crazy, but the fruits are on mature wood.
