I got my car! It doesn’t have an arm rest between the front seats. Only thing I find wrong with it. For 40 MPG, I can forgive a lot!

Couldn't find a Prius. Dealers are upcharging an "inventory" charge. Basically they are adding a few thousand to the price of the car because of availability. They added $2,000 to the price of my car, plus a bunch of add ons like Nitro Tires. WHAT? What the heck is that? They fill the tires with nitrogen and supposedly you don't have to check air or add air for a year. But then you have to go find nitrogen to put back in them. Uhhh......NO! I refused to pay for it. I told the sales man that I have my OWN air compressor because before I pull a trailer, I check air all around, truck and trailer and I'm not some stupid idiot that will run on low tires. $500 for nitrogen disappeared. I squabbled over the upcharge and got it reduced. Car shopping always has it's pitfalls, but these days it's ridiculous.Congrats! We have a prius and I love the 48 mpg
It's insane right now and likely yo get worse. My FIL bought a truck and they upcharged him almost 5k because "they can" per the sales man. He got the truck he always wanted so I'm happy for him.Couldn't find a Prius. Dealers are upcharging an "inventory" charge.
