"It's the same thing every day. Clean up your room, stand up straight, pick up your feet, take it like a man, be nice to your sister, don't mix beer and wine ever. Oh yeah, don't drive on the railroad tracks.”

~ Phil Connors, Groundhog Day

sunshine and cold today, a groundhog would see a shadow, but too cold to come out of their dens.

I mix beer and wine every saturday. Philo Tavern serves $1 beer and I drink wine when I get home.
It's an urban legend.

Coffee and toast EARLY bc I needed to take some aspirin, in my overnight 2x/night pain meds for my legs.
Good for Pyg bc she gets to got out and not have any old dog accidents.
Time to go back to bed and let the alarm at 6AM get DH up.
I have my phone set with this ring tone:

Herbal tea is on to brew. Garbanzo the Dog has been out to check out the backyard. Darn black, 7# critter likes to travel only in shadowed areas ... with me out there standing on the deck because of the possibility of her coming across raccoons.

I guess that I won't be seeing the green comet because of the near-24 hour high clouds. We have warmer daytime temperatures now (above freezing several afternoon hours) and even some sunshine. But, it is still hazy and, overnight, I can barely see moonlight shining through.

I don't trust Alka-Seltzer or aspirin anymore after a trip to urgent care when I was much younger and had really messed up my stomach with it. Trying to keep the stomach happy while treating the rheumatoid arthritis ... no, the same situation over time with other NSAID's. Those didn't work long-term, either. Acetaminophen works weakly and okay every now and then for a headache. Topicals for the joints just maybe.

You can still try to see it.
Look north on a clear night in the next few days outside of city light pollution.
I'm gonna try again tonight bc we got a cold snap, which clears out the sky for better viewing.

The comet is supposed to be moving out now from between the Big and Little Dippers, so near Polaris and soon to be higher in our night sky.

It's difficult to see that part of the sky from my yard because of street lights and because it's a little uphill. Sooo, the horizon haze and distant lights also interfere. Combine this with our persistent clouds and, yes, I could use a balloon to lift me a mile or two above the Earth and a few hundred feet above these clouds!

Happy Friday!
Friday is my sowing day now, as DH has every Friday home-office. We stay in the same room but do different things.

I prepared him milk tea and myself coffee. The pancake is a ready product from the discounter, but when you put it in the pan, warm it for a few minutes, and add some cinnamon powder --- it tastes totally different.

I have my coffee and pancake while selecting what to sow today. The Himalayan blue poppy looks so dreamlike.
