All you need for your "wake up" magical brew is right next to the coffee pot so fix a cup and enjoy the peace of the morning. I would say the chill of the morning but it's already 72 here and temp is suppose to soar to around 95 with the heat index making it feel above 100 later today.
ONE MORE DAY UNTIL THE WEEKEND BEGINS!!!!!

Yesterday I drove to a town 20 miles to my south to do numerous errands, and from there, another 20 miles away to visit a friend with early stages of Alzheimer's in a home there. It's sad to see how her mental abilities have deteriorated when she used to be sharp as a tack, but she's one of my few friends who is still amongst the living, so there is that. Her late husband used to be a gardener with an incredible green thumb - they always had a huge vegetable garden and she used to can much of what they grew. Now she kind of drifts from one reality where she knows he's deceased to where she's waiting for him to come home from the hospital, probably is just too painful to remember, and I can relate to that. She always remembers me, and we are still able to reminisce about better days, so it was a nice visit, all things considered.

Driving long distances always exhausts me, and partway home I stopped to refuel my car and tentatively asked the cashier if they sold hot tea, because I didn't feel that my stomach could handle coffee. This nice lady said, "Yes we do!" and proceeded to show me where a hot water spigot and tea bags were kept around the other side of the counter. I'd expected maybe a few tetley tea bags, but there was instead a huge collection of every type of tea and herbal tea you can imagine. Tea never tasted so good! Like my ancestors, I should have been born in Ireland or England! And this morning, as most mornings, I'm again sipping tea.

That's 🫖 Good!

I'm a little ways down the spectrum. On my second cup of oolong. Disappointed that I don't have a change but I just have to leave the LV plants to build strength for the Winter. I could go for coffee or DW's ginger tea -- okay but nearly time for a second breakfast w/coffee and I'm being patient/impatient/thirsty :D.

First order of business was to label and carry 7 quarts of pasta sauce from yesterday out to the freezer. Then, discover that the big bag of green beans carried in had tipped the vinegar fly trap on the table ...! Paper towels under the bag and snap to it! In a nearly overwhelming atmosphere of AC vinegar 🤷‍♂️ Snapped, Rinsed, Blanched. Bag tossed. Table cleaned thoroughly. Paper towels and bean bits all in compost bucket ... Morning Sunshine!
