Groovin' on a Sunday afternoon
Really couldn't get away too soon
I can't imagine anything that's better
The world is ours whenever we're together
There ain't a place I'd like to be instead of
Movin' down a crowded avenue
Doing anything we like to do
There's always lots of things that we can see

You can be anyone we like to be
All those happy people we could meet
Just groovin' on a Sunday afternoon
Really, couldn't get away too soon ...

Coffee is ready. I found a paddle drill in my box of tricks and drilled the stump. I couldn’t get it to go deep, but the stump is smoldering. I’ll play at it some more.

Son and I walked back field. He said take my little battery operated chainsaw and go down the north line. It’s not bad and I could have it cleared in a couple of weeks. He’s right, so I’ll be piling into it soon. Got to finish helping my friend with Sheetrock first. Son is planning on renting a bulldozer in April and will doze the back fence. The back fence has a deep gulley and im not going to try to fence it in. Water gaps and sheep and dogs don’t work very well, so I’ll just fence alongside of it. I’m gonna get that field fenced in, I need the grass! There is a barbed wire fence on the property line and I’ll leave that up on the gulley.

Good coffee this morning. Took 2 cups to wake me up.
DH's 2021 Avalon's car battery is dead in the water. Good thing we kept MY 2012 Avalon.
I learned a new skill, changing the battery in a key fob. Too bad That wasn't the issue.
Youngest DD Finally got Her new car, a KIA Seltos, Mars Red, which is the closest she could get to burnt orange.
She fell in love with the car in "Life on Mars." I Think she will name her new car, "John Simm."
I would name it the "Gene Genie."

Coffee is ready, I’m on second cup. Still taping and floating sheetrock, but almost done. My neck hurts from looking up at the ceilings. If my friend looks up like that, it messes with the shunt in his brain and makes him violently sick. Like throwing up, migraine and that could send him to the hospital. So I’ll take the crock in my neck, a few days of soreness won’t leave lasting effects. He started sanding yesterday, I’ll hopefully finish the taping and floating today, then we can move on to the second coat of mud, sand when dry and it will be ready for texture.

Rice Chex, Peanut Butter Corn Chex, Honeynut Cheerios and a sliced banana in the bowl for a first breakfast. Should be having a special Sunday Breakfast? Well, that might be as special as it gets for this Sunday.

Yesterday afternoon, I was working with super glue — I won't trouble you with a picture of the result. During the "press together for at least 5 seconds" stage, I thought that it looked a little ridiculous that the tube was stuck to my finger. Never the less, I pressed on. Five seconds later, I peeled the tube off the digitS' ... along with some of the skin attached.

Always, after I pick up a tube of super glue, I have a problem like this! And, you know, I wasn't one of those kids who stuck his tongue to the metal post in the school playground. No. Not once!

I was sitting here enjoying my coffee. I felt like I was going to have to cough and tried to swallow the coffee in my mouth before coughing, but choked and coffee spewed all over my robe and desk. I put on an old robe and everything is in the washer and my desk is now all cleaned off and arranged, so I accomplished something.

I try to get on here in the mornings, but DD always has something going on. She is either coming over here or telling me some disaster thing. This morning it is Wesley burned his hand on a griddle she was using to make pancakes. He is okay, but not happy, so she is getting some burn cream.

She came over the other day and we shared all the seeds and she took her seeds home but neither one of us have done anything. I have got to get started. I really had not planned to start a lot this year and buy plants, but I could not do it. I have to start some of my own.

DS is engaged. He bought a pretty engagement ring. They are thinking sometime in September to get married. They will live with me. This will be his house someday. I am not sure when i will let the house be in his name. He has helped me all these years since DH has been gone, so he has earned this house. We help each other. She likes the house and me lol, so I guess it will work out. She is a nice girl. They knew each other 10 years ago but her family moved away. She liked DS back then, but she was only 14 and he was too, but he was not thinking of her as a girlfriend. They only saw each other now and then at church. They have the same birthday, month, day, year. They are both 24. She might want chickens in the future. Her family had chickens and she likes flowers. I am not sure how much into vegetable gardening she is, but she has a full time job right now. Later when a baby comes along, things will change. Like DD, she is nuts now. LOL She is so much like me, gardening, making sourdough and now sewing. She has thanked me several times for the sewing machine. She is having fun and Evelyn is 5-1/2 now and helping her make things.

Thinking of getting the seeds and the potting soil out and get to work. I have the dirt in the house so it is warm.
