My son is working on the far north side of Houston, in Humble. He went to Lowes this afternoon to get a new kitchen faucet for his RV. When he got back in his truck, the passenger window was shattered. Closer look, the door was messed up. He was on hold 25 minutes to talk to someone at the police station. Then waited over an hour for the police to come make a report for the insurance. Cop told son his truck was going to Mexico to the cartel. Truck is a 2019 F350 King Ranch dually, with all the whistles and bells. If it had been stolen, there aren’t any trucks at the dealerships. He would have been afoot. He’s not real happy right now. Got an appointment on Monday to get window fixed.

Meanwhile, my car is broke down. It’s at my sister’s in Conroe. Neighbor Robert is getting his wife’s nephew’s car hauler and we are going down Monday to get it. Car thieves don’t want it! LOL
So sorry to hear that! When we lived in Chicago, my family's only car (6 of use depended on it to take us to school, college and work) would get vandalized at least twice a year (someone would break the windows mostly). It was always so stressful. We had to walk or bump rides of people until it was fixed.

Merry Christmas! What's for dinner!??

It will be simple here. DS has only one day off. Since the holiday is on a weekend, I guess that it is true with some workers that there is no day off. Ya know, that new Monday Holiday bill just didn't go far enuf ...

We are having duck and hoping DD doesn't have too much trouble on the roads. There are some trimmings but festive food may not extend much further than purple mashed potatoes. I have already mentioned in @flowerbug 's thread the two Kabocha punkin pies that i made. Do You have trimmings?

That duck must be responsible for the strangest dream that I had last night 😯. (Good enough for @Marie2020 's thread) I was talking to a lawyer. I asked in the dream what his law degree did for him. He said that it allowed him to duck responsibility ... I had never thought of it that way! I woke up wondering if he meant him personally or his clients ...

Dinner here will be leftovers most likely. We had our big Christmas dinner with relatives last night and we’re cooking breakfast right now. Breakfast is apple filled crescent rolls and sausage balls. I had a cup of coffee and a leftover corn muffin around 6 since I don’t normally eat breakfast this late.

Pumpkin Pie (& a brownie ;)) for my second breakfast.

Made some brownies on Christmas Eve because DD likes them. I gotta buy some real cocoa and start making them from scratch (and hot chocolate). I'm almost sure that I can do better than the boxed stuff.

Oh, and I just finished my apple-a-day, a nice Honey Crisp.

Are you tired from Christmas Day or excited to be out playing with new toys?

Steve
