because you ran out of milk or because that is how you like it? i mix skim milk and water in my morning cereal most times because i really want a lot more liquid but i don't want to use that much milk and i can't really taste the difference anyways.
OH, NO!!!!
I take My cereal with 1/2 and 1/2.
I meant that I wasn't drinking any coffee with my lunch

Frustrated with this and that, this AM.

Bought a box of Special K "with real strawberries!" Good thing I had the baked apple and raisins already in my bowl before pouring the cereal. My 2nd bowl out of that box, "where are the strawberries?!" So much for trusting the corporations. Cut up a banana.

Yesterday, I looked in a couple of file cabinets for some long-ago information. Mostly, didn't find it but came across evidence of paths that couldn't be followed, frustrations of years past. Dust and cobwebs.

Since getting off Daylight Saving, there was one "residential waste pickup day" when I wasn't out in total darkness to have the cans at the curb by required 6AM. With all the clouds, it won't be today. If DW isn't up soon so I can get to my clothes, I'll be out in my bathrobe. I must be having trouble adjusting to the positions of the hands on the clock — up before 3 over weekend and today.

Clouds. So where is our 90% chance of rain? Unless this storm, that is everywhere else in the Pacific NW, drifts a little closer to the Rockies, it will miss us. With the growing season past, there's not any immediate need for rain/snow. There's tomorrow. Ever an optimist, but tiring of being a resident in Severe Drought. Grump. Gripe. Groan.

Okay, I've got my coffee ☕, now :).

Second breakfast, prescribed 4 hours after rising, oatmeal with cranberries, bosc pear. And, the First Laugh of the day. Thought of @flowerbug

Honeynut Cheerios on the baked Gala apple and raisins, oolong in the cup.

I'm wondering about citrus. We had a bag of Mandarin oranges that were quite good. Sweet oranges have a very good shelf life. DW is the shopper and doesn't like me along pushing the cart because I am, not only impatient, but too much influenced by sales. During some Winters, I sometimes wonder if we aren't "overloading" the composting balance with so many orange peels. Right now, I am having a little trouble keeping up with the ripening of the persimmons but we are doing okay 😊.

I believe that this is their harvest time. When are Sweet oranges at their best?

i don't know, it seems that the quality can be so different from bag to bag and who knows where they are coming from? you may be getting one bag from a harvest in Southern CA and another from Mexico...

i think the blackberries tried to do us in this past week. Mom only tried one and she didn't like it because it was so sour. the next day she had "issues". i ate some of them and did not have "issues" and the next day i turned them into a fruit spread which i cooked well and i also added dried cranberries. there really wasn't that much of it and i ate it over two days with peanut butter toast. it tasted fine. there was nothing "off" about it. yesterday i had all of that come home to roost with my own "issues", all day... repeatedly...

as for why there would be a delay between us, i've always had a slower digestive system than Mom. i was afraid to eat much of anything yesterday or last night but i did finally find something i thought would be safe, cottage cheese, and then later some tomato soup. i seem to be doing normal today so hopefully i can get back to work.

the moon is on its path to full, in just 5 days.

The weather forecast suggests that there's little chance for me to catch a glimpse of it over the next 5 days.
And, there it is in the early morning sky! Through the haze, I see only one other star, likely a planet. It's as though the moonlight has burned a perfectly round hole through a heavy, charcoal gray canopy.

Oooh, I had to take a 3rd trip away from my Special K and persimmon to wash my hand. Helping DW with her Salsa Sauce and I must have had jalapeño too long between the ring finger and pinky! This time, I rubbed some antihistamine cream on it. Zzoowweee
