Good morning y’all. I’m officially moved. Got my dogs and sheep moved on Friday, 3 days ago. My BYH friends from California are leaving this morning to go home. A BYH couple from the other side of Crockett came over yesterday and strung sheep and goat wire. We had already set the H brace to hang the gate on and pounded T posts. I have to run wire at the bottom of the fence on one side, it is one foot off the ground, so I gotta close the gap. Lots more to tell y’all, I’ll catch y’all up later, but I’m here now.

does it feel strange to not be on the road? after some long days in the past of driving when i finally got to where i was going it felt like the room was moving. :) i guess that's kinda like what used to happen to sailors when they hit port after a long trip at sea. :)

welcome home @baymule !

"Once again people have gotten celibacy (not being married) confused with chastity (not having sex). So technically, an incel would be a person who WANTS to get married, but can't find someone to get married to."
THAT Is modern day China, two few 'brides.' "

I have TWO DD English Majors And ONE Communications Major.
"And my toes curl when I hear people confuse "cannon" with "canon" (that happens a LOT on some of the forums I go to.)"
Eldest DD is ALWAYS talking about "canon" vis a vis ANY dramatic/comedy series that we often talk about together as a family.
She has also criticized the "Oz" series for the lack of canon, although she doesn't mind "Tip/Ozma" changing genders since a later book brings back a "Tip" and an "Ozma."

I finally got an "okay" cheesecake without baking by myself! From 2015 till today, I still have no love for any German cheesecake.

From last December we were very busy, so I didn't have time to bake anything. But these few days, I was reading recipes about cinnamon rolls and cheesecake again. Maybe I will make both this week.

Oh, please don't get me STARTED on the Oz canon. As I may have mentioned I am a HUGE Oz book collector/fan. And that includes writing some bits on my own. At least HALF of what I write boils down to variations of "This bit Baum (or more often, Niell) got wrong" (to explain things that just plain don't make sense) or "This isn't the way things are now" (for cases where the established books don't agree with the way I want to do things for the story.)

And how DOES one decide what is "official" , Just the 14 books Baum himself wrote? The "Famous 40" (Baum, plus Thompson, plus a few other books.)? ALL material that has even been written on Oz? Do you try and work Volkov's and Sukhinov's Russian parallel story line in (lots of luck with THAT!)

When I bought one of my more recent Oz publications (The Lost Tales of Oz) I got the deluxe edition, which includes an additional book that tries to provide a timeline of Oz up until the time of the Wizard. The book is about 200 pages long!

i can't stand things telling me how to spell. it gets in the way of typing and if i'm wrong i hope it's not too mangled that people don't understand what i'm trying to say. at times i come back later and see where i've screwed up my spelling and so i'll edit and fix it. :) if you see me regularly misspelling a word give me a slap upside the head. there are certain words i almost always have to look up. separate is one of them because i always think of it as seperate which it isn't... there's plenty of others i probably mangle too. :) and don't get on me about grammar. she's long gone. :(
What? Slap you, okay then :smack
