Persimmons deadly? I've eaten them by the case, sometimes the first thing I eat in the morning. Still kicking X 2. The concern might be with eating American persimmons before they are fully ripe. I don't like those, only eat the flattened, firm, fuyu persimmons.

Some claim that raw green beans are toxic too... so after all the 'toxic' things I've eaten, I must have the constitution of a honey badger. Or a Wisconsin badger for that matter. 😁
My grand kids eat raw green beans in the garden.

I don't know where to add this.

This guy is amazing 👏. He took a huge risk but lives to tell his story
Maybe there could be a thread for just video about anything.
My prayers go out to all who are in the areas of the horrible California wildfires. The destruction and devastation shown in the images on the news is truly heartbreaking. Hurricanes and Tornadoes are scary but the thought of wildfires is especially terrifying with 60 to 100 mph winds . I pray that everyone in the affected communities and families find peace, love and comfort .

I opened thread for documentaries. But there's a problem of some videos not have access in our various countries.

Later I'll change the title and add it there 😉

Woke up at 2 AM. It’s a full moon, bright outside. Dogs are quiet, no reason for me to wake up, just did, wide awake.

i woke up at 3:30am, same thing, fiddled around for a few minutes and then was able to get back to sleep for a while. as usual on trash day i'm always excited to wake up early. :)

then i had breakfast and went back out to shovel a little snow and luckily the recycle truck came by right when i was reaching the end of the driveway so i could pick up the recycle bins without having to make a separate trip.

fresh cold air and exercise means i'm really AWAKE NOW! :)

Up at 3:20, breakfast was pumpkin dollar cakes ... I wonder what they are called in countries with pounds, euros, etc 🤔. Of course, when was the last time Americans counted things out in silver dollars, or were those Spanish Pieces of Eight ?

Thinking about second breakfast. Maybe a toad in the hole or a chicken in a basket! Names are important but, from experience, frog legs do taste like chicken. It has been so many years, a toad can be used to sub for eggs.

Oh, and that breakfast cup of coffee ... reward for having our garbage and recycle bins out before 6.
