Something @flowerbug can look forward to while waiting patiently for the washing machine parts to come in.

our last "team" visit to the laundromat involved me feeding a machine a bunch of quarters and it had this spring pushback of the coin so if you let go too soon it would come flying back out. of course one did and then not only did it get dropped but it hit the rounded edge at the bottom of the pedestal the washing machine was upon so it went rolling 30ft down the aisle. a nice lady got it for me (i would have tracked it down anyways) and i said thank you.

when she was drying her clothes she emptied the dryer but missed one tiny child's sock in there so i returned that to her but then a bit later she also dropped a different color child's tiny sock on the floor under the table and i saw that and took that to her while she was outside in her car listening to music. and no, i wasn't looking for a date, ...

one thing for sure is that there are usually interesting people at laundromats and you can have some interesting conversations, but most of the time they don't want to talk much so i don't push it. i'm not that chatty myself most of the time anyways.

no parts yet.

a cardinal is already out there chirping away. it's not really that light yet, but i guess it wants to find a partner ASAP! before the storm/rains... warmer day than yesterday will be nice, but wind and rains and storms will put a damper on things...

Oatmeal with honey and cream cheese, strawberries and orange slices on the side ... oolong.

The first of 3 loads of laundry is in the washer. Fortunately, I didn't have to take my 🥣 with the dirty clothes to the laundromat ;).

A coaster heater now sits on the table. I tried it yesterday for the afternoon brewing of 1 cup of herbal tea. Works great for a single cup! The 2 hour shutoff is unnecessarily long but it's not at all unusual for me to forget the burner switch on the stove and leave the little kettle that long. I'd be upset if it was the oolong but I'm fine with the homemade blend or even the lemon verbena, what I had last night.

Probably shouldn't admit the 🫖 story because it probably probably paints me as a barbarian. Well, yeah ! Maybe I is.

ETA: @flowerbug I followed a Robin down a sidewalk Monday. He stayed just far enough ahead of me so that I wouldn't step on him :).

On my second cup of coffee. It’s been WINDY here! A friend loaned me an outdoor propane burner so I can do some canning outside. There is a microwave over my stove with only 13” of clearance, so no canning. I got the burner put together, propane bottle filled and the wind is crazy. I’ll rig up some sort of a wind break and try to get the party started. But supposed to storm like crazy, so maybe next week. I could be in the house, canning all those chicken scraps for the dogs, canning chicken broth for me, but nooooo……. I hate that stupid microwave.
