Thank you, SCG. BTW - I'm going back to my 1st post now and correct that mistake with the initials of your user name: I only think of you as a Solar Collection Controller (SCC) in the kindest way . I have been curious about the name you have chosen but will NOT press my luck on getting answers to other questions ;).

I like the idea of using a single sheet of plywood for a project. You would understand if you saw the scraps of old, odd and useless pieces of plywood in the corner of my carport . Yesterday, I made a little raised bed for DD: 7 pieces of 6" cedar boards, 6" wide and I was left with 2 tiny triangles to toss in the garbage :).

A dog house can be made with a single sheet of plywood and I seriously considered using a style common for sled dogs for a chicken house in my backyard. Just using those search terms will lead you to that simple structure: sled dog, one sheet plywood, dog house. I would have used cedar boards as siding on that and set it up off the ground with a ladder for the birds and a hinged back wall for my access. Simple, sensible strutures like that have real appeal to me.

The name makes a lot more sense if you understand that I'm a pharmacist. I used to joke that when I'd go to work I'd put on my boots and cape and go out and phight pharmacy crime. Someone came up with my superhero name and it stuck. I'm not much of a girl anymore (in my 30s) and it could probably also use some changing since everyone thinks of the non-legal chemical types... I'm open to suggestions and kinda like SCC :)

Your carport must look like my garage and basement. We have 3 different piles of scrap lumber after about a million building projects around here. During the winter I burn some of it in my wood stoves, but if it's bigger than the 14 inches my stoves take, it stays as scrap.

I'm hoping to get another cold frame for the fall... but we'll see how well this one works and maybe I can convince him to build me another for next year. The design was overall great, but I would change the top. We ended up having to screw the plexiglass in after a day in the 80s... the plexiglass basically popped off at the corners from all the heat, despite being vented. It doesn't look as nice now, with the caulk and screws, but it's not meant to be beautiful, just functional.
