BYC had a thread, just FYI, chickens never lay black eggs. Only a particular Duck lays black eggs. They probably lay brown eggs.
This comment was for those who sometimes troll the thread just to look at the pictures.

guy on Craig list is selling very rare chickens Ayam Cemani. He is asking $125 for 16 week pullets. They are all black feathers ,legs, breaks and combs. I have the East Indie ducks which are also all black. I can have a Gothic flock :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:. He is holding 4 pullets and 1 rooster for me. I love the fact of having hens no one else does, but will not be able to free range them. They also don't lay many eggs. Planning on looking at them Sunday
I have seen these before. The original birds are from an exotic Island whose name I have forgotten. Their birds sold originally for $4000 a pair. The American version have been recreated with selective breeding. Take some beautiful photos.

Because of the link @sumi posted to BYC I passed on buying Sun. White feathers is called leakage very hard to breed out according to BYC. The breeders birds had white feathers, he tried telling me they where no big deal. I just got a bad feeling and passed. I did order chicks from hatchery feather lover farms they have 2 different lines. I ordered 3 chicks from each line. Only problem they are sold straight run only. I did not want to deal with babies and heat lamps, breeders where older but at least I know they are pure bred.
