sorry @majorcatfish the Powerball winner here in NH wasn't me! wish it was though.

i moved out of doing customer service the beginning of October & now in the claims/auditor department. just got through a rough time processing tuition scholarship benefits for a couple of the colleges we work with & it wasn't fun. especially with the new tax laws expected to hit in 2018. they told their employees to get everything into our office by 12/20/17 & decided to do this with less than 1 week to go before the deadline. with the urgency put on us we had to bypass our normal policy of having it reviewed 3 times before it goes to the group for their approval before we can pay & have that payment info go through another 3 rounds of reviews to be sure it is entered at the right amount. so, we had a few get over paid & others didn't get paid before the end of the year. spent another 3 weeks getting them all caught up & now we are finding others that got missed getting sent out for approval.

with all that going on the past month & 1/2 it put us behind getting other claims done. now were are really in clean up mode! :barnie:he

oh, on top of all this, there are 2 new people coming into the claims/auditor department in another week. so we need to train all over again! just got used to training someone else from the customer service department & a temp to hire that doesn't know how our systems work. lets hope the newbies catch on quickly & get our department up to speed before the summer tuition scholarships start coming in!

how to cluster a good day.......
got to stay home a extra hour this morning since i had to pick up paneling at one of the gso lowes stores....

let me back up to tueday afternoon, the g/m asked to have the floors cleaned before the big continental 2 day training program started today.
heck no problem will send gilligan... he spent 4 hours trying to clean the floors and all he made was mud..... told him to stop and put the new rubber squeegees on the cleaner, stay till 5 pm and you he does not have it completed go in early and finish it and do the floors..

as soon as i pulled into the 49 store, gilligan calls one of the arms on the envelope spreaders broke at the weld, so he moved 1 from one to the other and i could stop by on the way home and weld it up....
thinking to myself thats just prue asinine, thats just slowing everything down....
got the paneling off the truck, started to drove over to the graham store..omg my phone almost exploded with phone calls...

the floors look like total sh!t help....
got there holy carp batman looked like someone just used muddy water ......
just looking at the squeegee arm, know what he did wrong. fixed that, of course he failed to mention the scubbers are not working
had to pull that apart yup the gears are shoot went to get the gears not where i left them....sob not there...gillian has a bad habit of going through my boxs and move sh!t around..
.i ripped him a new one about that today < if it does not have your name on it do not move it period>... did a quick southern engineering job, got the scubbers to work....grrrrrr now i have to order all the gears over again....

anyway got the floor cleaner working again...how about that no mud on the floors...
gillian asked how did i get the floors clean......never told him...

off the welding up the spreader arm...that took about a hour of grinding welding plus getting installed the g/m came by and give me a hug for fixing the floor cleaner...

as soon as i got back to the 49 store the person putting up the paneling showed me the jigsaw...busted all apart..<wtf did you do to it> looked like it's been thrown across the room...grrrrrrrrrr already in a very bad mode......grrrrrrrrrrrrr

off to the lowes in mebane purchase another...not cheap

got back now the g/m is calling the restrooms in the training room are backed up... will call the plumber....
owner put restrooms in the old breakroom the sewer lines do not have adequate drop to handle poop,,, 14 years ago and to have a plumber come out a snake the line every time it gets plugged.<nope they will not let me buy a electric snake, they would rather pay a plumber....
got out of that one..........

finally got back to the 49 store..........looked at what has been done.......omg
paneling looks like sh!t at the seams had them pull 2 sheets because they were broken ... they did not look and double check for old nails. 80.00 down the drain.....<ripped into him like there was no tomorrow>.

while typing this out the owner called me and thanked me for getting the floor cleaner up and running.... i vented on him a little bit, and thanked him...

thank god tomorrow is friday........

You can image with all the dog hair how often i had to call a plumber to unclog the drain in bath tub. I ended up buying a professional power snake, don't remember how much, thinking it cost about 2 plumber visits. One of the best things I bought. Only problem is keeping track where it is everyone wants to borrow.

If you pick up work supplies or use your truck to run work errands you can claim all the money you spent on truck repair this year
You can, but you MUST keep a milage log as well as where and when you do the work errand.
