Steve I do the same as you do. Plunk something in whenever I see bare dirt. My garden ends up kind of a hodge podge but there is usually something to eat out there even if it's an adventure finding it. Putting things in neat patches may look good but it makes it easy for the bugs to find what they're looking for.
