Compost smells like Amonia.

I have straw in my compost and when it gets to smell like that I add grass clippings. The reason being that my straw is full of duck poop. Once I hit that earthy smell I know I got it right.

Duck poo is really rich but it will burn plants if put on without composting. It packs even more kick than chicken poo does.

I age it before using it around the plants. Plus, with as much water as they get on everything, it is a bit diluted

That duck and goose poo is some slippery stuff. Not much fun to slip and end up sitting in it.
