I have learned that soil construction begins with lower layer rock that is broken up. It's not ready to feed a garden plant at that stage. I've never seen a garden grow in gravel, either. It seems like the rockdust folks are selling something. There's a feed dealer I know who is ALWAYS chasing the latest supplement that he believes I HAVE to feed my horses. (Hardly a subjective, scientific endorsement since he's selling the stuff!!)
I've gotten to the point where I want to see many other people's results using the same method BEFORE I'm persuaded to try something new. If my family/friends have a tried and true method, I'll try it too because I trust them.
