One of the signs - travel with your own pillow....

Then, even with your own pillow, you still miss your bed.

when i used to drive around all over the country i used to tent camp, always slept fairly poorly wherever. then i started sleeping in my car. i slept much better in my car than even at a hotel/motel, maybe even here if i had my car back - i'm not going to try it in Mom's car... :)

in a strange place it takes me about 3 nights to sleep ok, but still not great. here i sleep pretty well most of the time. the problem this time of the year is that my sleep schedule goes off because of the longer nights and i tend to stay up later. once the weather and sunshine start making for longer days it will get back to a more regular time for bed because i'll be worn out from working in the gardens.

To sprinkle cloths before ironing. The top attached to a cork seals the water inside the bottle and the tip has small holes in order to turn the bottle upside down to lightly sprinkle clothing before ironing. I still have mine I put vinegar in the bottle to sprinkle fresh berries then rinse fruit to help prevent mold. A vintage sprinkle head . I wonder what it’s worth on EBay.

Absolutely right, @Shades-of-Oregon :)

I have also used one just like in the picture I posted. I don't know when we began to be able to put water in irons like most of us have now but 60+ years ago, Mom didn't have one. Spray bottles came with the plastic age.

Cotton outer clothing creates a need for ironing, polyester – not so much. But, I still like cotton better.

Ah Ha… i remember the days of cotton clothing . I remember having to starch shirts and pants and used the sprinkler bottle for ironing DH army uniforms. They had to have creases exactly correct for the dress and casual uniforms. Today they are not a strict and fabrics have totally changed.
