Quilting takes a special kind of person and lots of talent. It’s magical how quilts are designed the intricacies just floor me and so colorful, lots of creative themes and so much more .
I would luv to see some of yours. What type of machines do you use? How did you get started making quilts?

I was playing under my great-grandmother's quilting frame when I was a toddler and when I got older I would take a few stitches. Unfortunately I didn't take much of an interest until after my grandma passed away. I'm at least a fifth generation quilter.

I prefer scrappy quilts as that's what I grew up with. My own quilts are far from perfect and I had planned to begin hand quilting one this winter but haven't started yet. My others have been quilted using a plain old sewing machine and are far from perfect. I have a few sewing machines and my favorite is an old metal behemoth that weighs a ton and only does straight stitches.

i was in at a big box store (home depot) early yesterday morning and they have new new self-checkout stations. i only had 3 items, paying with cash, go for it ... had a handheld scanner –– didn't see anything else. shoot 'em ... saw a total & tried to put money in machine ... no, i needed to click "pay." employee already pointing beside me ... still can't put money in ... she clicked "no bags" & i shoved enuf for total in as cash ... it was asking for more ... by this time she was just standing beside me, might have been tapping a toe ... oh, the tax! 🥴
