the word is character. you have a face with a lot of character. you are a character. you hear people all the time saying "So-and-so is quite the character." ... we are all typing characters on the screen (except those who are using those new-fangled contraptions which listen and transcribe speech to characters). characteristically squeeking...

most the time i only look in a mirror when after a shower and i'm shaving and dealing with whatever my face shows is unusual. i may apply some gunk to ward of temporary inflections. my skin has no compunction at all about going off on jaunts into the great unknown including jungle diseases, rashes and other strange growths which i no longer care to classify. if i can dig them out or scrape them off or kill them off with some teatree oil lotion or calamine lotion i will then that is fine with me. once in while i see a doc for dealing with anything that looks like it might mutate even more than i have. my home grounds are quite homey enough as it is... no need to encourage any more invaders if possible, yet i know this too is only a temporary holding pattern until the final fractional war at the end where the resident microbes win out and all goes gooey and the world takes back what it has lent me.

ok, that's the gist of it - whatever it is - at this moment...

some of us have it easier than others. i've never actually thought about what it would have been like to be a normal kid (even if i've never met a single one yet) - i just kinda assume that we all go through our different paths and some make it further than others. for the grace of goo go i...
