I usually gain weight over the winter. Generally it’s 5-8 pounds, no big deal, unless I don’t get it off, gain weight the next winter and so on. So I go on a diet, each year I try something different with varying levels of success. Mostly I dont strictly adhere to the diet, they are all boring. This year it’s the carnivore diet. SUPER BORING. I can have meat, seafood, eggs and a little dairy. First week I lost 4 pounds. Second week I rotated in veggies and stir fry, a hamburger, some pasta, to break up the boredom. Starting third week tomorrow, back to carnivore.

I got up to 142 pounds, that’s heavy for me. My target weight is 134 to 130 pounds. Interesting note, I made cookie bars for a potluck supper this evening. Normally I could eat them all. But I ate a few and didn’t want any more, not even tempted. Sugar is my downfall, maybe there’s something to going carnivore, even a week on and a week off.

Sugar I'm a little better with since using xylitol. But then I'll get the urges for chocolate and cake 🎂 😋 :he:caf

the carnivore diet is a big and very expensive fad and it's very destructive for the planet.
Feral hogs are very destructive for the planet too. Tasty though. I raised the chicken I eat. They haven’t destroyed anything. Maybe I should have given them chicken sized jackhammers so they could have kept up with the darned hogs! I’ll have lambs ready for slaughter in the fall, they eat grass. Destructive? Not unless they start hanging out with the feral hogs, running with bad company…… but then, the hogs would take them down and eat them. So just how the heck am I being destructive? Go beat your doomsday drum somewhere else, it does not apply to me.

i saw kids the other day wearing bell bottom jeans, they looked as rediculous this time as they did the previous two times that fad came around.

your specific circumstances are great and you're lucky to have them, but that's one in thousands.
