Just a few plants I got going as of right now one thing I have found so far that I really like about having them in containers is the mobility of it as with my strawberrys if I think there getting to much rain I move them under the house and also some spots in the yard seems to get more sun one day than the other so I'm able to have more hands on experience with them and weeding is a lot easier when you can put them on the porch instead of leaning over on the ground lol

I have not been on here for a long time, due to health, and my hubbys health. I am anxious to look through and see how many familiar names are still here. We are going to try tall raised beds this year, they have to be waist high for me to use them, Our son in law started some from old sheet iron we already had, in order to save money. They are far from glamorous, but maybe we

can figure a way to make them "pretty". We are also going to try growing potatoes in containers..wish us luck!! I know the constant drying out, over watering thing will be a challenge until we get it figured out.

4grandbabies, I like those raised beds! They remind me of my watering trough where I have 2 blueberries planted. Besides bright colors, I happen to like the look of galvanized steel. Have you seen the waist high ones that Gardener's Supply has? Will you fill them up all the way with soil or will you use a filler at the bottom so as not to use as much soil?

ducks, you gave us a lot of good information. It doesn't have to be just pictures but you know we love pictures!

Many years ago there was a place by the freeway that had pots. I don't know if they are still there but I bought all of my hugh pots from there. Of course they were seconds but you can't really see their flaws. I paid between $25 - $50 each. These pots would easily be over $200 at nurseries. I am so glad I got them. That's where I have my fruit trees and a maple planted.
