Interesting. This is what we see all of the time in my neck of the woods.
I am reading that they are "game birds," just like pheasant which originated in China.
Non native species can be hunted, bred, owned, etc.
Native species have much greater restrictions.
Still, they are pleasant birds which mate for life.
