@Cosmo spring garden ,
My goals for 2023:
1) buy all seeds early (DONE)
2) Use a calendar for a seed starting schedule
(I already have 3 of those saved on my laptop. I need to do some adjustments, such as modification of starting melons and squashes later to avoid squash vine borers)
3) Fall prep for beds
This has become a WINTER project, but it has evolved into smaller bites, which I am documenting on my thread.
4) pulling up/sawing burdock and burning
5) poisoning both 1st year and 2nd year burdock (starting with ANY winter/spring day without rain that tops 60 degrees F)
If I till the area I will pull up weed seeds, so that's not an option
6) cardboarding some burdock areas and covering, such as the south and west aisles between the chicken run and horse fencing
I don't intend to till this area but I might grow something there, like the Mennonite Sorghum that I just bought seeds from.
7) finish fixing up grape vine rows, including taking pruning for root cuttings this winter

DH and FIL started putting in corner posts for the goat pen
Kids helped me clean out the strawberry patch. It will take me few days of hard work but I am determined to get it ready. Last year we had such amazing strawberry harvest! As I'm clearing it, I am throwing the runners in a bucket which I use to replace dead plants or fill in holes that don't have a plant. And the black small sit is for me to sit on so I don't have to kneel down. I need one of those garden seats :).
I also cleaned the small greenhouse for lettuce transplants.

Picture of baklava has nothing to do with gardening but it's here because it's baklava!

DW bought several garden stools & chairs, but they always sank into the ground... so she made her own. Something of hers that I will always care for & cherish. 😍💝

That is cute! I'm taking a screenshot of it. What are the curved handles made of?

Kneeling pad ... Pillows

I'd have to crawl off to a pole bean teepee to pull myself back up to vertical!

Plastic milkcrate - not only a fairly comfortable height, it's somewhat of a cushion. It differs from an upside down 3 gallon bucket comfort-wise. Either one, you have to be sure that they are inverted before sitting down.
