Took this a little while ago while trying to take Moon pictures.
The neighbor's little dog was barking, soon found out why. Then my dog joined in. Later, another dog joined in, too.
You can hear the coyote clearly once, then 2-3 times more, but less clear. Then cars pass by and get in the way.

Love the sounds of the coyotes! We have a small family pack in the area and love it when they are tuning up on a clear night. Can hear them so close....sometimes I'll go out and howl right back at them.

I hear the coyotes here too. Last year when I was putting the floors down, I stayed here at night. Coyotes woke me up, howling right at the end of the house! They howl across the road and sometimes are right up against our property line.

Love it when a pack really gets going. They sound so happy. Wolf music is good too but they sound kind of mournful.

Sorry Hoodat don't agree. A pack once trapped a deer in woods behind my house, they where very noisy over there howling you could hear deer screaming, took about 45 minutes before deer stopped. Was Horrible listening to it.

When they are doing that excited yapping is usually when they have caught something.

They have their place, but I'm not too fond of them now, after they lured and killed my feisty little Jack Russell.
I realize it's not hard to lure a JR anywhere, but that put those dang 'yotes on my list.

Coyotes did a tag your it running fight and then a pack killed 2 of my 90 & 95 lbs. of solid muscle Boxer guard dogs. My neighbor's Rottwieler ... all he found was his head and hide the next morning. The hybrid coy- wolves are the worst. As for those @#%^&* wolves... when you have a 12 year old cousin , who was on his way to school, get killed and eaten ... well you become a not so eager to see their reintroduction by the bleeding heart supporters to the US. Not to mention the thousands of people that were being deported to Siberia in open cattle cars being thrown off the train ( including my uncle ) to be torn up and eaten by wolves. :duc
