We do not have much birch around here. Certainly nothing as mature as you got. How is that for burning?View attachment 35472
We got a log truck of birch for firewood. $1400 for approximately 12 cords delivered. That's about $116/cord. Even if it is 10 cords, that's $140/cord.
The typical price last year for split cords of birch was $300-$375. Fortunately we had plenty of wood last year and didn't have to pay the ever increasing price for it. I'm pretty happy with this find. That's at least 6 years of wood for us.
Of course there will be work involved, but we work pretty cheap.
