here's a pic of the Buddha's head, there is a dent on one of the cheeks, so Seedcorn, it may have been kicked around from someone else before i got it. this is sitting on my table that belonged to my grandma that i want to paint the legs. pic below of one of the legs & the pattern on it.

i can sort of see why you thought that. my phone may have a 13mp camera but it isn't the greatest at indoor pics.

really love the work on the table leg... Buddha not one my personal favorites but can
appreciate the nice simple lines of the piece not the awful gaudy ones we often run across

Brass if not lacquered gets a nice green color when outside. If it is lacquered you can use nail polish remover on it.

The frugal side of me hates spending money on gift wrap and cards ( just gets thrown away) Both my sisters kids love playing soccer. At dollar store found large rolls of soccer wrapping papper bought 4 rolls.

I agree with you on cards. They are at least $4.99 and you read it then throw away. If it's a really special occasion I will buy a fancy one but it's just a regular birthday or graduation, I will buy one for .99 at Trader Joes.
