Went to pet smart for parrot seed last night. They had a shelf clearing sale, $18.99 bag of seed marked down to $6.99 I bought 4 bags at that price.
Just wondered if you're planning to freeze the extra bags. Don't know about parrot feed, but some feed has a rather short shelf life. I would think that freezing would extend the food's quality and keep it from becoming rancid. Just a thought.

The wild birdseed I buy does go bad. . . gets bugs. I no longer buy more than a short supply. I've read that chicken food will turn rancid relatively quickly. I don't buy large stocks of that either. Even rabbit food can go bad -- perhaps not in glass jars -- but freezing the bags you don't expect to use within a month or so is not a bad idea.

Doubt seed will be around that long or that it will last that long. Oils in grain will deteriorate.
