I don't think so. You probably have to air layer it or start seeds or at least by grafting. Ours have not made seeds yet. The first picture has but not the Koto No Ito..
Every spring I plan on potting up dozens of JM seeds that sprout under my clients trees. I don't know the varieties, but one of them is absolutely gorgeous spring and summer and stunning in the fall.
So my Yama Hime Maple was $300. and it is 15 years old and only 1 foot... It's a crumby picture but you get the gist. I like to be cheap with some things but some plants I love to spend the cash on.
Waretrop, those maples are gorgeous. I take it they are full grown and won't grow taller? Did you prune them to get that shape?
Thistle, I like your couch. Let me know how that leather dye holds up. I many be interested in dying my leather couch up at the cabin. One arm is discolored and very dry because it was close to the floor furnace. It's been moved now and not as noticeable but I'd still like to freshen it up a bit. Gotta go work out now to keep up with you.
Mary
Oh Mary, I love that. My daughter would have loved that many years back...
Yes Mary, some of the top maples pictured are trimmed, although not much. The last one, it's a super dwarf, is all natural....It really is 15 years old and will never get much taller...We have a few of them and never never find them cheap. I snatch them up as quick as I can at any price for you almost never see them unless they are a little stick..
But I love it when my hubby shops prices. He is such a good one for that...I save money on lots of things so I can buy expensive plants. LOL He just bought a $900 security camera system on "black friday" for $400. It is a 8 camera, wireless, with hard drive, router, and screen....I love it when he does that.....
