To clarify, the legs have zippers down the sides. I don't think there is a way to shorten them without messing up the zippers.

go above the zipper about 6 inches take a piece out the length you need cut out that sew the leg back together

If Bays are like mine the zippers go all the way to the hip. So no real way to shorten without replacing the entire zipper. Rollings easy, just have to dump the hay out of the cuffs before you come in. :)

Good idea, @PennyJo but as thistlebloom said, the zippers go all the way to the hip, no way to shorten them. And really, most of the time, we don't have severe cold, so I can deal with the roll-ups!

And don't forget, you look so adorable in rolled up hand me downs! LOL.

We go to Goodwill store way too often. I've gotten a couple expensive, German made kitchen knives and a few cast iron pieces. Nice furniture that I don't have space for. The Re-store is 50 minutes away and closes at 5. So I've never had time when I'm in that area. Sounds like I should stay away.

After the flooding of '17, we had a pile of kitchen appliances show up down the way. I pulled a few oven racks, frig drawers and a kitchen sink (stainless steel) for later projects. As I age the gag factor has subsided. The weirdest one, some one dumped a dorm frig full of sodas. Sodas don't go bad?!? I've drunk beer from a can that was in creek water. Maybe flood water is worse. I left the sodas - didn't know their history.

I do have my limits. The oven racks were worth it.

I'm on the hunt for an old swing set for a yard porch swing. Several have come up, but I figure it will take me a day to disassemble. Then I need a helper to load. Drag it home and unload. There are some nice swing sets on craiglist that will make wonderful swings. Time and a helper all that is needed. One day.

My Aunt was telling a story on Grandpa, the ultimate scrounger. He found an igloo ice chest on the side of the road. After cleaning out the rotting fish, you could "hardly" smell it. (ARGH) He sent it home with Aunt and it went straight to the trash. Hardly being the operative word, it still stunk. She said it was terrible. Miss you Grandpa!
