I have NO IDEA what I'm going to do with it - but it is NEVER going to see a poopy chicken butt! Maybe holding plants in the dining room......???

That would make a dandy chick brooder! Poopy butts and all! Guess who is picking up chicks tomorrow...

Today we walked into Tractor Supply. The manager was having a baby chick melt down. She had some Cornish Cross chicks a week old and more coming in a shipment tomorrow. She said, "Take them! Take as many as you want, they are FREE!" So we got 20. Tomorrow, 30 CCX chicks will be shipped to me, along with 12 Australorps........FIFTY CORNISH CROSS that will need to be butchered IN 6 WEEKS! :th

I am officially an idiot.

I got to get the chicken tractors built! :\

Finished the tractor and will baptize it tomorrow, the good Lord willing. I'm tempted to offer to help you butcher. Will work for chicken!

I'll get 2 ready to butcher CX and 7 - 2 week olds for the tractor. Then off to the races. Buddy ordered the chicks and offered to brood while I was spring breaking. Then offered 2 of his ready for table birds. For a small fee of course.

The local tractor supply store, not TSC but the place that sells tractors, said I can pick up all the shipping crates I want. Bust apart for free wood or reassemble for chicken tractors. The parrots will have company for 6 weeks. Segregated, of course.

Now some of you younger people may not remember this, how did Momma cook while watching a toddler before the child prisons were available? Sorry "play pens".

Every wonder why all the kids wore those long sacks? Momma would lift the kitchen table leg, trap the end of the sack under it and give the kid a pot to bang on. The kid couldn't get away. As long as they were making noise, all was well.

Then we invented duct tape...

I know many people are afraid of CL they heard horrid stories. I have met some of the nicest people because of CL. Last night I met a woman who was tiring to clear out her 94 year old aunts house. She met me in front of a local restaurant where I bought a vase with goldfish on it. She asked me if I collected that pottery, I told her no I had a goldfish pond and liked cut flowers. She told me her aunt who the vase belonged to had 3 goldfish ponds. She was worried about finding homes because some people with pet reptiles feed them goldfish. She asked if I could take them. I told her I would be happy to give them home when the weather warmed up a little. This morning she txed me all her information I guess she felt I was a nice person too.

Today we went to Vanity Fair Outlet in Sulphur Springs. They carry Lee and Wrangler jeans, plus a few other brands. I got 3 pairs of jeans, 1 pair was Cabella's brand. DH got 4 pair of Wrangler jeans. He got 2 shirts (George Straight brand) I got 4 shirts. I got a pair of gray knee boots and a bunch of underwear. Total $215. BUT we are members of the V.I.P. club and I had a text on my phone for 20% OFF the ENTIRE purchase. When the dust settled, we got all that for $169.
